Nice to meet you!

My name is Veronica Yao, and I’m the career coach behind Atypical Careers. I help neurodivergent professionals go from burnout to balance in their work lives.

As an early professional with ADHD, I struggled with constant burnout in my career, which forced me to change jobs often. Despite my efforts to take care of myself, it took me years to get my work life to a sustainable place.

Over the years, I have developed methods and best practices for protecting my mental health, which helped fuel my career success in marketing. Now, I’m ready to help other neurodivergent professionals find success and achieve a better quality of life through their careers.

When I’m not coaching my clients and managing my business, I teach musical theatre to children, play video games, and spend lots of time with my long-time partner and my two cats!
